Cravinkel "s/t" LP
Cravinkel was founded by Gert "Kralle" Krawinkel - later in the early eighties of Trio fame (Da Da Da) - in 1969. The Hamburg combo relocated to a country house to find a place to envelope their musical ideas. The eponymous first Cravinkel album featured blues-folk-rock tracks with slightly psychedelic influences similar to the first album of Spooky Tooth. The band was signed by label Philips, which offered them recording facilities in the IBC Studios in London. The recordings done in August 1970 were released at the end of the year. In 1971 Cravinkel toured rather successfully with Frumpy and Spooky Tooth. The album comes as an exact reproduction of original album sleeve as poster fold out cover (two times fold out) depicting the band lazing in a rural landscape. Remastered from original mastertape. LP contains two bonustracks from 1971 - 7" "Keep On Running/Mr. Cooley". A real collectors item!
