"Done So Wrong" is the second long player by The Flying Eyes from Baltimore (USA). Their self titled debut album was celebrated as one of the best 70s sounding pieces since The Doors. On "Done So Wrong", The Flying Eyes have continued to develop and intensify their own sound. Their ten original cuts now are darker, more hypnotic and punchy, truly 70s heavy-psych-blues rooted but also timeless with various influences from Black Sabbath over Danzig to Black Keys. The recordings were made during their first European tour in summer 2010, where they shared the stage at legendary German Burg Herzberg Festival with Jeff Beck and Hawkwind. With their energetic live performances, The Flying Eyes hypnotized audiences and made a lot of new fans in Europe! It would be chemically determined as a following sacrificial revenge after Invention got lost 2 years ago in a Rock located in San Pedro Ville, France. And then came rebellion appearing in its entire regained nudity, though it was given a load of Seltz water so it can endure its own terrifying blast power. Here it is now Maniacs & Zealots, be afraid of intending to tickle the Beast from your players!

World In Sound presents Manifesto Zero, Gunslingers´ second atrocious little deformed baby, recorded on the infuriated November of 2009 while evil‐red‐eyed wolves were getting enraged in the frightened night. No doubt it has to be a relentless sonic testimony in the style of throwing Vitriol at the snobbish subculture's face and, Willy‐nilly, you'll be given a proper naughty chase and a sixfold punishment always greedy of its prey from start to finish. Rhythmically Cyclopean, as overexcited as starving due to the constant hammering of its ritualistic tempo & contra‐tempo gluttony, its disturbing debauchery of lysergic & contemplative elements gives besides the whole savagery thing some multipleheaded Beast aspect by leading its own sound color touch (and its obvious axis of devastation) right into the alley of a space glider under over-saturated hypnosis; and more generally, into variable expressions & exploration areas which stand between Underground Rock Music unclassified genres & subgenres.

Demented Guitar wall‐of‐acid‐riffs, pissed off takeoffs & instrumental smashs on bewitchment mode, harmonic death traps, pulsatory frenzy & insane grooves in the likes of a vicious contortionist highway, startling surrealistic vocals sealed to a psychotic Daedalus‐esque bass unfurling, and ultimately a scary statement of visceral power. On their analog-recorded debut album the quintet Treacle People very impressively and with lot of love to detail revive the spirit, musicianship and passion of their British idols from the early 70s. The eight original compositions were recorded in 2 sessions live in studio and reflect many-faceted, progressive, psychedelic and classical hard rock. Their wide musical spectrum presents expressive, emotional and striking vocals (Cruelest Secret, Zero Gravity), atmospheric but also aggressive guitarsolos (Neptune's Kiss, Anschlag I), a pulsating, excessive-rocking hammond-organ (Anschlag I, Last Song), warm and dynamic hammond/piano melodies (Cruelest Secret, Moonchild), and driven by a powerful-grooving bass and soulful hypnotic drums. Treacle People began 1998 in Worms (South-Western part of Germany).

They are inspired by the early 70's, the revolutionary time period when youth celebrated musical excesses creatively. Classically trained they practiced themselves in the works of UFO, Deep Purple, Led zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, E.L.P, King Crimson and Pink Floyd. Thus originated from experimental and endless jam-sessions, technically polished rock songs with something of their own appeal. Live on stage they perform their own material excessively as well as performing highlights from rock history: "In a Gadda da Vida" (Iron Butterfly), "Black Night" (Deep Purple) and Pink Floyd´s complete "Live at Pompeii". The CD edition appears in the triple-fold digipack with 12 p. booklet, excellent artwork.

Samsara Blues Experiment "Waiting For The Flood" LP 22,00 €

Four tracks and almost 50-minutes long "Waiting For The Flood" easily exceeds expectations. The third outing by German psych rockers Samsara Blues Experiment is their most balanced and harmoniously driven yet. 18-months in the making and averaging 10-mintues per tack, the record combines the best of the group's two previous studio albums while drifting further into mid '70s prog rock. As seasoned professionals, Christian Peters (guitar/vocals), Hans Eiselt (guitar), Richard Behrens (bass) and Thomas Vedder (drums) have fused together their individual talents to create something truly majestic. Elements of British acts Man, Khan and Camel can be heard in the creative expanse of the individual songs while the occasional southern-style heavy rock of Corrosion of Conformity or Floodgate rattles the cage.

When you hear this you will bet that this was made in 1968. Farfisa-organ, fuzztone/wahwah guitars, flute, two beautiful girl voices and haunted melodies, that´s LIVING ROOM, a short lived German Sextet which had one private limited vinyl release titled "Chambers" in 1997. They reaches highest level of authenticity and these recordings present their previously unreleased second album, heavily floating mystic folk and garage music. A listening pleasure which reflects Krautrock inspirations in the vain of Amon Düül 2, Hölderlins Traum but also the US acid hippie spirit. Look forward to enjoy songs like "Orange Plastic", "Times Like Lakes" or "Acid Comes". The album is well recorded, presents a highlight of German underground culture and includes bonustracks, the top cuts of the rare collectible debut album "Chambers". These four young guys on Guitar, Bass, Drums and FX make a significant difference from many others, not only by combining the essences of great musicianship but keeping their minds wide open. While sharing similar vibes with Colour Haze, Samsara Blues Experiment, My Solid Ground and like-minded pioneers of Krautrock, they maintained a juvenile experimentalism to continuously keep up the excitement within these 53 minutes of the album. Seems they almost intuitively created anthems like "Dhimahi Prachodayat" or "Agathe & Saturnia" by looking at their music through the eyes of adolescence. Oh, and how refreshing their energy is!

Lemonade Influence is a new Greek psychedelic progressive rock band, where young talented guitarist and songwriter Kyriakos Iliopoulos joined forces with ex-members of the most important contemporary Greek psychedelic band Purple Overdose. The Swedish band POSTURES release is both ambitious and mature in its presentation. It is multi-faceted, cross-genre and with a lot of love to the detail. Only insiders have heard about POSTURES because it is their debut album; 9 songs (50 min) melt from unexpected 2 min. interludes, floating ballads, "Big Riff Rock " numbers and a 13 minute instrumental Space Trip together to an intense sound spectacle. Very well produced, the album is conceptually clearly an attribute to the early 1970s , with the spirit of Pink Floyd, Yes, Can, Doors and Jefferson Airplane. In addition to the impressive and dynamic vocals of Paulina Nyström, a mighty psychedelic-progressive orchestra taking its time to explore soundscapes with all the ups and downs in a dramatic way, atmospheric, hypnotic, sometimes experimental, but also very intense, with punchy hardrock rhythm, heavy guitar riffs, fuzzed-out solos and floating Hammond Organ vibes. Postures was formed in 2009 and can be admired live on stage with this album. Due to their individuality it is quite difficult to come up with direct comparisons to other bands. However, fans of Portishead and The Gathering who love the violent, progressive element in Mars Volta and appreciate the dynamic sonority of the 1970s, should listen very carefully to this one!

Imaad Wasif with Two Part Beast "Strange Hexes" LP 16,00 €

Imaad Wasif´s second studioalbum "Strange Hexes", which came out as a self-release in 2008, belongs to the lost gems of contemporary Rock music. The fragile shamanic poet immediately captures the listener in an overwhelming atmosphear between sonic bliss and bone-breaking intensity. His guitar licks howl like Wolfs in the night, while his voice seems to cut through the air. This is true musician-mastership and yet a mystery why only so few initiates have heard of this great album. One thing World In Sound is clearly set to change with the final vinyl release and a new official CD-release, both including linernotes and rare photos. Absolute recommendation for fans of Dead Meadow, Espers and Black Mountain!

With ‘Silhouettes’, the Krautrock quintet from Aschaffenburg delivers a timeless rock epic. Fuzz Sagrado is the new psychedelic rock project of the creative head of Samsara Blues Experiment, Chris Peters, who not only plays guitar and sings here, but also takes care of all the other instruments. "Luz e Sombra" (Light and Shadow) is now the second album in two years after its predecessor "A New Dimension" from 2022. The music can be seen as a continuation of Peters' work with SBE, in some ways the new album seems to tie in very well with SBE's "End Of Forever" as there are some longer 70's influenced prog pieces alongside shorter grunge era style songs. Although the production is more direct and Fuzz Sagrado is, of course, a different project with even more diverse influences than SBE, Samsara fans should find some familiarity here. But also fans of well-written psychedelic rock with influences from the late 60s to today should definitely give this a listen!
