Dzyan "s/t" LP
Originally released on the small Aronda label in 1972 Dzyan´s eponymous 1st Album was their most rock oriented one. Similar to their SWF-recordings 6 month later Dzyan played a slightly jazzy form of progressive rock with hints of Wolfgang Dauner, flashes of Zappa´s Hot Rats and even some Van Der Graaf Generator styled saxophone-fronted diversions. As the Freeman Brothers write in their classic book "The Crack In The Cosmic Egg" an "intriguing album that is still fresh today".
Strong expressive vocals by Jochen Leuschner, refined guitar playing by Harry Krämer and remarkable sax tunes by Gerd Ehrmann supported by an excellent rhythm section with extraordinaire bass player and bandleader Reinhard Karwatky and solid drummer Ludwig Braum are the characteristics of this great album which is incomprehensible underrated in comparison with their latter albums "Time Machine" and "Electric Silence".Vinyl version comes with original cover replica and insert with band story and rare and unseen photos. Limited edition of 500.
