Spacegoat is a stoner/doom-band from Monterrey, in the North-Eastern mountain ranges of Mexico. "Superstition" is the debut full-length of this fairly young group, formed around singer Gina Rios and her brother and main-songwriter Miguel on lead guitar. As the genre's aesthetics imply, there are no big musical inventions or distractions here - the music on this album is not progressive by any means, but it doesn't have to be. Yet among the many small things, there is one that makes a big difference, and that is Gina's voice. In all ranges from sweet and bewitching to a full-on siren, she really shines out from this rough diamond of an album with its hints to 70s Classic Rock, Psychedelia and even a kind of Southern Rock-piece introducing the B-side...
