The Lone Crows "s/t" CD
World In Sound presents with the self-titled debut album of The Lone Crows, another very talented US heavy-psych band. Comprised of nine fast, furious and catchy tracks, the album is a tasty mix of deep and haunted compositions and floating jams filled with mind blowing guitarwork, while singer songwriter Tim Barbeau exorcises his inner demons with everything from soulful belting to banshee like shrieks. Musically the album showcases influences that range from the powerful 70s Retro Blues Rock to 60s Westcoast Psychedelic / Acid Rock to early 90s Grunge. They reflect flashes of such groups as The Black Keys, Wolfmother, Kyuss, Led Zeppelin, Quicksilver Messenger Service or The Doors. The Lone Crows show growth from the band's original style extended jams, spot on instrumentation, and more fleshed out song writing to take you back to those times, when music still was music! Enjoy this piece - it will grow after each listen and it can lead into heavy addiction.
