Terraplane was predecessor to Samsara Blues Experiment. The band can be seen as one of the forerunners to the actual German Heavy Psych scene, which is often compared the thriving years of 1970s Krautrock. Trip in Time presents the artistic, emotional and intense side of music and revives an almost forgotten genre: Psychedelic Rock! - A fusion of Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Soul and Classical music to a powerful unit. This Compilation features only unreleased music from the years 2006/2007, with the influences of the psychedelic music revolution from the Summer of Love, 1967. Our focus is to present and to discover young artists, whose passionate celebration of music has the potential to convince the new generation of psychedelic freaks.

On their analog-recorded debut album the quintet Treacle People very impressively and with lot of love to detail revive the spirit, musicianship and passion of their British idols from the early 70s. The eight original compositions were recorded in 2 sessions live in studio and reflect many-faceted, progressive, psychedelic and classical hard rock. Their wide musical spectrum presents expressive, emotional and striking vocals (Cruelest Secret, Zero Gravity), atmospheric but also aggressive guitarsolos (Neptune's Kiss, Anschlag I), a pulsating, excessive-rocking hammond-organ (Anschlag I, Last Song), warm and dynamic hammond/piano melodies (Cruelest Secret, Moonchild), and driven by a powerful-grooving bass and soulful hypnotic drums. Treacle People began 1998 in Worms (South-Western part of Germany).

They are inspired by the early 70's, the revolutionary time period when youth celebrated musical excesses creatively. Classically trained they practiced themselves in the works of UFO, Deep Purple, Led zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, E.L.P, King Crimson and Pink Floyd. Thus originated from experimental and endless jam-sessions, technically polished rock songs with something of their own appeal. Live on stage they perform their own material excessively as well as performing highlights from rock history: "In a Gadda da Vida" (Iron Butterfly), "Black Night" (Deep Purple) and Pink Floyd´s complete "Live at Pompeii". Behind this extraordinary retrospective release stand musicians from Portland, OR Jeff Sanger and Alexa Marmon. John See's Lilly is certainly a psychedelic gem and introduces the world to the mystic and creative To Get Her Together which carries the influence of Seeds, Electric Prunes, Syd Barrett, Donovan´s psychedelic period and Joe Meek all rolled into one, feat. also a great cover version of "Clarence in Wonderland" (K. Ayers). They create a sound that sums up a scene from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Jeff is an emotive songwriter and singer taking you through a journey into his mind full of musical twists and turns with acoustic guitar rhythms over hypnotic drum and bass to tunes with electric overdrive-mindblowing fuzz. Equipment used such as a 1930's David Bogen amplifier, vintage organs and effects, and analogue equipment ultimately reward the listener experience. This album truly creates a unique-dreamy-psych-vintage experience in 2007!

The Illiad is a young quintet from Ohio. A creatively produced demo put World In Sound´s attention to the band leader Kyle Pittman, an introverted and deeply emotional singer and guitarist. "A Sad Day on Pluto" was recorded in Cleveland, Ohio (2007) and contains 13 original tunes reflecting a tasty spectrum between early Pink Floyd jamming, 60s garage/flower-power and loner Folk style, and feature very catchy lyrics combined with interesting "psychedelicate" melodies. Pittman´s music captures a unique style of composing fresh music with the influences of Syd Barrett´s Pink Floyd, West Coast Pop Art Exp. Band, Velvet Underground, Marc Bolan and David Bowie.

The mixing, mostly done by Pittman himself is truly a "trip in time", a stereo-experimental 60s style like Pink Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn! With expressive vocals, screeching guitar hooks and sunny Farfisa sounds in these electric tunes and classic ballads, the Illiad create the beginning of a fantastic voyage into a concrete vision of dreamy songs. The CD comes with a 16 p. booklet and is well produced (intense sound)! This album is highly individual and part of the new generation of 60s influenced bands. It´s a kind of masterpiece for today with the sound and ideas from back then.

World In Sound presents its first release with Kiwi roots with the young and ambitious quartet “Sun and the Wolf”. Salutations is their return, the second full length album which opens the gates to a psychedelic soaked wonderland. The nine analog recorded cuts are dynamically arranged continuing on from the explosive and overdriven rhythm and blues that their debut LP "White Buffalo" boasted, while exploring darker realms of fuzz driven psychedelia with catchy riffage and splashes of The Beatles´ lysergic era. Tales of heartbreak, debauchery and deceit echoing from a far away room, the guitar driven sound shows a band soulful and haunted in their delivery, live and on record.

The group relocated from Auckland to Berlin in late 2008 leaving behind a band formerly known as “The Have”. Formed in their teens, the band carved its name upon the New Zealand rock’n’roll scene. There they experienced commercial radio and television success, were invited to SXSW in Texas twice and had their debut album produced by Barrett Jones who worked with Nirvana and The Melvins. They have shared stages with likes as Sleepy Sun, Kasabian, Wolfmother, Dead Meadow, A Place To Bury Strangers and standout festival performances at the notorious Fusion Festival. Salutations creates an exciting and unexpectedly colourful spectrum throughout it's duration!

Soulitude is a solo project by Christian Peters (singer in Samsara Blues Experiment) beautifully composed by himself. When it first came on I was truly delighted and overwhelmed by his musical skills and I lost all my contact with the outside world. This German is a master loves what he does and turns silver into gold; he's like a healing tongue licking all bad things away! After a short intro this marvellous piece of plastic just explodes into a colour haze and Peters clearly shows the world that nothing can stop him from reaching the sky. Serpentina Satelite was formed by the end of 2003 in Lima, Peru. Their music creates atmospheres and emotions throughout diverse musical influences; exploring space kraut-rock, avantgarde stoner and psychedelia. In late 2004 the band produced independently their first EP named LONG PLAY, feat. 5 longtunes only released in PERU. Now, four years later, NOTHING TO SAY is their international debut, on TRIP IN TIME / distributed by World in Sound! The Swedish band POSTURES release is both ambitious and mature in its presentation. It is multi-faceted, cross-genre and with a lot of love to the detail. Only insiders have heard about POSTURES because it is their debut album; 9 songs (50 min) melt from unexpected 2 min. interludes, floating ballads, "Big Riff Rock " numbers and a 13 minute instrumental Space Trip together to an intense sound spectacle. Very well produced, the album is conceptually clearly an attribute to the early 1970s , with the spirit of Pink Floyd, Yes, Can, Doors and Jefferson Airplane. In addition to the impressive and dynamic vocals of Paulina Nyström, a mighty psychedelic-progressive orchestra taking its time to explore soundscapes with all the ups and downs in a dramatic way, atmospheric, hypnotic, sometimes experimental, but also very intense, with punchy hardrock rhythm, heavy guitar riffs, fuzzed-out solos and floating Hammond Organ vibes. Postures was formed in 2009 and can be admired live on stage with this album. Due to their individuality it is quite difficult to come up with direct comparisons to other bands. However, fans of Portishead and The Gathering who love the violent, progressive element in Mars Volta and appreciate the dynamic sonority of the 1970s, should listen very carefully to this one!
